Meet Jeanette. I am a third generation Iowa farmer’s daughter. My family has had farm land in Iowa and Poweshiek counties for over a hundred years – my roots run deep in Iowa. I grew up as the oldest child with the work ethic of whatever needed to be done “JUST DO IT”. Of course, this was way before Nike made this saying famous!
It was this upbringing that created my views of how much can you get done in one day’s time. I created “systems” for chores way back in the seventies so that I could maximize my time. Being organized makes any job run smoother and faster.
With this motto, I attended college and after graduation landed an advertising/marketing job with an ad agency in North Carolina. This position then took me to Atlanta, Georgia where I lived over 23 years! I joked that I was a Southern transplant with a midwestern work ethic!
It is VERY IMPORTANT to me that people live their best lives, and so I turned from marketing and went into helping others in a lot of other ways. I have created a pattern of career choices that allows me to help people live better not only in their daily lives but also through the trials and tribulations that we all eventually endure. In 1991, I got my real estate license, but as time went on, I realized that I was developing into more of a developer, remodeler, stager and interior designer! I even got into designing funerals!
My parents were married for 62 years until my mother’s passing. At this time, I decided to come back to Iowa to help declutter Dad’s life and to care for him because that’s what our family does. There are so many helpful things to pass on to clients here in Iowa that I have learned throughout my years of helping others.
