Thanksgiving is almost here, and in the US everyone knows what that means – the kick off to the winter holiday season. Most people think the holidays are supposed to be a joyous time, but the truth is, that’s not the reality for everyone. Multiple family gatherings, stressful shopping situations, the need to appear perfect…. it can be a time of extreme frustration, financial insecurity, and overwhelming stress – but it doesn’t have to be that way. I had the opportunity to speak with two other coaches, Filomena Iorio-Tasoluk and Tim Billiter, over on the Life Coach Chat Channel about the holidays. We all gave our best tips for how to survive the upcoming holiday season and how to make it a time you really enjoy and look forward to. Listen to the archive version here: http://bit.ly/1allIjl
If you’re like so many of the people I speak with this time of year, the winter holidays are already starting to creep into your mind. Maybe you have wanted to host friends and/or family for the last several years, but you’re just too embarrassed by all the clutter. Maybe you’ve started your declutter project many different times, but you just don’t seem to be able to follow through with what you say you’re going to do. There is hope, there are answers, and they might not be what you expect. In our society there is a pervading “just do it” mentality. Not to say that there won’t be physical work involved to get your home decluttered, but there is a method to setting yourself up for success, a method for building the foundation for your declutter project so you’re more likely to follow through and actually finish. I love being a clutter coach and being a witness to people finishing their declutter projects. There is a lightness that comes into their faces and usually into their hearts as well. That’s why I put together a free teleclass to set you up for success in your own declutter project. Join me November 6 at 10am US Central (the class will be recorded, so even if you can’t make the live class, sign up so you can listen in to the recording later!) and learn 3 Big Reasons You’re Not Finishing Your Declutter Project. On the call you’ll discover: How to … Continue reading
Multitasking, we tend to think, is a promise of “getting more done in the same amount of time”; it guarantees “productivity” and “doing it all”. But what are the costs? Is it really possible to multitask? What are we really gaining–and what are we losing–by consistently multitasking in our everyday lives? Join me and my co-hosts Danielle Mund, and Veronica Taylor in this riveting discussion about the hidden costs of this everyday phenomenon on the Life Coach Chat Channel, part of the Life Coach Radio Networks. The show is live Thursday 10/24/13 at 11am Central, but don’t worry if you can’t make it live, the show is recorded and you can access it anytime after the live broadcast and listen in at your convenience. Here’s the link to the show (it’s the same link to listen live and to listen to the archive): http://bit.ly/HcMNPz Multitasking is something I have a lot of experience with having worked jobs for my first nine years out of college that listed multitasking as a requirement. And it seemed like just as I thought I had mastered managing my multiple tasks, my superiors would find yet one more task to pile on top of my already full plate. Is multitasking now not just something that people are expected to be able to do at work but also prevalent in how we deal with our relationships as well? I hope you’ll either join us live or listen in to the archive recording after the show, this is guaranteed … Continue reading
When I was presented with the opportunity to join the ranks of coaches who are a part of the Life Coach Radio Networks I knew something really special was about to happen. Since I said “yes” I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting and collaborating with some really great coaches from around the US. Plus I’m feeling even more inspired to continue my own work as a Clutter Coach (even coaches need coaching!). At the time of this writing, the Life Coach Radio Networks is made up of three radio channels on Blog Talk Radio: International Life Coach Radio (you’ll find my monthly solo show, Reclaiming Space, here every second Friday of the month at 10am Central). I feel blessed to get to be a part of a community committed to assisting others build the lives they really want. On these three channels you’ll find shows about a diverse blend of topics including relationships, transitions, clutter, personal growth, meditation, mindfulness – just to name a few! It’s totally free to listen in to any of these shows – and not only can you listen in to the live show, but since all shows are recorded and archived, you can listen at your convenience any time after the show is over. Not only can you access the … Continue reading

An enriching event, the Balanced Living Expo, created to help you discover how much you can love your own life is starting soon. I’m excited to have been invited to participate with the other amazing speakers who will reveal their own stories and paths to finding balance. Let me ask you this: Do you sometimes think “There MUST BE MORE THAN THIS for me but how can I possibly fit one more thing into my life?” Do you wish there was MORE TIME in the day? Do you feel like your body just ISN’T WORKING or healing the way that it use to? Are you SERVING EVERYONE ELSE and not taking enough care of yourself? Are you just plain STRESSED out? That was me not too long ago – I certainly know what’s it like to be in a place where it feels like no matter what I did, life just continually spun out of balance. It was a long journey for me to find my way to a more balanced way of living, and trust me, if I can do it, you can too. Register for the event here: http://bit.ly/15PiVSk Here are just a few of the things you’ll learn how to do when you attend this event (it’s online, so no matter where you live you can attend!): Spend time with your family and just ENJOY THE MOMENT, not worrying about what needs to be done or what is waiting for your attention. Wake up FEELING BETTER than you have in … Continue reading
