I was out of town for four days and returned to find all kinds of new beauties had arrived in my garden.  Here’s a quick look at what’s going on out there these days:

The coral bell which my mom gave me last year, I wasn’t sure this one was going to make it, so it’s great to see it popping up.

The forsythia in full bloom!  I guess it gets to stay after all.

One of my favorite signs of spring – the grape hyacinth.

I’m also so excited to see this lilac bush forming blooms.  It smells magnificent when fully blooming.  This particular bush had grown into more of a tree that was growing into our overhead lines, and it was hard pruned in 2008.  This is the first time it will bloom since that.

Pink hyacinth.

Red tulips.

Red and yellow tulip.

I found the purple flare on this one intriguing.  Loving this white daffodil!

Especially with the red tulips behind it.

Yellow tulip.

And last but not least, even the creeping charlie is in bloom.  It’s a bit of a shame this is such an invasive plant.  It sure it pretty when it blooms.  I’ve heard they use it out West as a ground cover.  Anyone out West confirm that?

What’s coming up in your gardens these days?
